About PDF to CSV
PDF to CSV conversion extracts tabular data from PDF documents and saves it as a comma-separated values file — the universal format for importing data into Excel, Google Sheets, databases, and data analysis tools. This is one of the most requested PDF conversion operations because so much structured business data exists in PDF form: bank statements, financial reports, invoices, price lists, research data tables, and government statistics. The challenge with PDF tables is that PDFs do not store data in a structured table format — they store lines and characters at absolute positions. Our converter analyses the spatial relationships between characters and lines on each page to reconstruct the table structure, identify rows and columns, and extract the cell contents into properly formatted CSV rows. Once in CSV format, the data can be imported into Excel for analysis and charting, into Google Sheets for collaboration, into SQL databases for querying, into Python pandas DataFrames for data science workflows, or into accounting software for financial processing. This eliminates the time-consuming manual process of re-typing tabular data from PDFs.
