About Bates Numbering

Bates Numbering adds sequential reference numbers — called Bates stamps — to every page of a PDF. Bates numbers are standard in legal, medical, and regulatory document management, providing a unique identifier for every page in a document production. Each stamp typically consists of a prefix (e.g. a case number or party code) followed by a zero-padded sequential number. Choose the prefix, starting number, and position on the page.
