About Image to Text
Image to Text uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to extract text from image files — JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and WebP. Upload a photo of a document, a screenshot, a printed form, or any image containing text, and the tool extracts all recognisable characters into a plain text file you can copy, edit, and use anywhere. This is the same technology used in our OCR PDF tool, but applied directly to image files without needing to convert to PDF first.
How to use Image to Text
Upload an image
Upload a JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, or WebP image containing text you want to extract.
Select language
Select the primary language of the text in the image for best accuracy.
Download text file
Download the extracted text as a .txt file. The text is ready to copy, edit, or paste.
