About Rotate PDF

PDF pages sometimes end up in the wrong orientation — a document scanned upside down, a landscape slide inserted into a portrait document, or pages that display sideways on screen due to incorrect scan settings. PDFSpot's PDF rotation tool lets you correct the orientation of any page or all pages in your PDF quickly and permanently. You can rotate individual pages or all pages simultaneously. Rotation is available in 90-degree increments: 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, and 180° (upside down flip). For a document scanned in landscape but saved as portrait, rotate 90° clockwise to correct it. For pages scanned upside down, rotate 180°. Rotation is a permanent change saved into the PDF file itself, unlike the temporary rotation you may do within a PDF viewer. When you rotate a page in Adobe Acrobat Reader's view settings, that preference is stored locally and is not reflected in the file — other viewers and devices still show the original orientation. Our tool actually modifies the page orientation data in the PDF so it displays correctly everywhere. Rotating PDFs is also useful for preparing documents for printing — some printers require specific page orientations, and correcting the orientation before printing avoids wasted paper from misaligned pages. Mixed-orientation documents (some pages portrait, some landscape) are fully supported — you can rotate individual pages independently. The rotation operation is lossless — no re-encoding occurs. The pages are reoriented without any quality loss. Files are processed securely and deleted within one hour.
